Student Activity Fee

What is the SAF?

The Student Activity Fee (SAF) is a mandatory fee included in the on the billing statement to all undergraduate students. The fee is currently $163. The SAF supports programs and activities from recognized student organizations that are beneficial to students and enrich current campus student life.

University Traditions &
Campus Initiatives

Traditions are an important part of the Northeastern experience and most are sponsored by the Student Activity Fee. These traditions help Huskies Get Involved and provide students with memories that will last a lifetime.  

 

Traditions & campus initiatives include but are not limited to: Welcome Week, Fall Fest, Homecoming Week, Stepfest, Springfest And Summester.

Undergraduate Student
Organization Funding

All recognized Undergraduate Student Organizations are eligible to apply for a portion of the SAF. 

Each organization uses their allocated portion of the SAF in a multitude of ways – including, but not limited to: events, guest speakers, sporting events, academic opportunities, social gatherings, community building, and much more. The SAF allows registered organizations to host and attend a wide variety of activities, events, and extracurricular learning experiences that enrich a student’s university experience.

Training & Resources

The SAF supports a collection of programs that provide students with the skills and knowledge to succeed as leaders. Each program serves a unique purpose and supports all Northeastern students with fun and experiential opportunities to practice circular and identity-based leadership while developing leadership competencies.
